ENG’G & MAINTENANCE

Reliability on the road is not a product of chance. It is the result of a consistent effort to put the trucks in their best condition. To do this, Ansaldo Logistics, Inc. begins with having its own school for mechanics and electricians, through which all work applicants must pass through. Not all who study are qualified to work. Only those who performed well in both theory and hands on training are allowed eventual employment.

Those who passed are then assigned to support and work with the veteran mechanics and electricians from whom so much is to be learned by the new workers.

Engineering support to the trucks go to the following specific areas of concern:

• Engine maintenance and overhauling
• Tire replacement, recapping & maintenance
• Welding and fabrication
• Batteries and Electrical maintenance & repair
• Parts and components rebuilding
• Fabrication, procurement and warehousing
• Shop service tools and facilities
• Machining
• Lubrication Systems

Along side the engineering support, is a systematic performance data gathering and interpreting, a coordinated effort between the Engineering and Finance.

On the operational side, the container yards in Davao City facilitate fast loading and unloading. They serve as storage between transits, allowing shippers to immediately withdraw cargoes from ports and Custom’s Warehouses.

Radio / mobile communications is also available with bases in Davao City, Damilag Bukidnon and Batangas for the southern Luzon operations

Movements of trucks are therefore closely monitored.
